Houston International Open Results
Gracie Barra led the way at the Houston International Open, taking home top honors in the team results! Congratulations to Professor Gustavo of GB Mission Viejo, who took home gold in the super heavy, black belt division; and to all the competitors who represented Gracie Barra so well. Let's keep the momentum going through this competition season! |
Competition Classes
GB Chino will be hold three competition classes to help prepare our students for the Pan Ams! Professor Rafael will be going over the point system, stand up and ground positions, both offensive and defensive. Live training will start standing up to simulate competition. These classes are open to all white belt students, three stripes and up. Even if you are not going to compete, you are welcome to attend!
The classes will take place the following days and times:
Thursday, March 18th 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 25th 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 1st 7:30-8:30 p.m. |
Upcoming BJJ Tournaments
It's that time of year again! The Pan Ams are fast approaching. This year the tournament will take place April 8th through April 11th at UC Irvine. For more information check out the IBJJF website at www.ibjjf.org.
The Gracie Barra Competition Network Season Opener has been postponed, due to a conflict in schedule with the IBJJF. It has been tentatively rescheduled for May 15th, at Irvine Valley College. Keep checking the GBCN website for updates at www.gbcompnet.com. |
